1880 Census: James Allen JONES lived next door to Charles William TIMBERLAKE who is also in this data base. It is possible that Alice Jones was given a parcel of land to cultivate with her husband Charles Timberlake.

1910 Census for Laura Timberlake indicates that her father was born in Virginia, USA.

Notes from 1880 Glove and 1910 Census indicate she was born in Kentucky.

Note:
Check the date of death (11 Oct 1901) for Laura TIMBERLAKE as is appears to be too soon. She bore Lillian - 1904, Elmer T - 1905 and Pearl - 1906. The date of death must be wrong here.

1920 Census shows Joseph, Ida, Elmer, Pearl and Melvin age 5 born: 1915

Research Notes: Child - Mary TIMBERLAKE [1763]

Mary Timberlake, age 10, born 1890 found in the 1900 US Census in Portsmouth, Ward 7, Scioto, Ohio. I'm unable to view the census record due to an error on their servers.

Note there are 2 Mary Timberlakes with the same or very similar year of birth.

Research Notes: Husband - James Allen JONES

I have found two dates of birth, one in 1825 and the 1880 Census records that gives 1828.

Note:
James Allen JONES lived next door to Charles William TIMBERLAKE who is also in this data base. It is possible that Alice Jones was given a parcel of land to cultivate with her husband Charles Timberlake.

Research Notes: Wife - Mary Ann McCLEESE

She had a brother Lew McCleese who died 17 November 1917.

Research Notes: Child - Alice E. JONES [1440]

Alice Jones recorded in the 1880 Globe School House Census married before the age of 13.

Research Notes: Child - Levi Taylor JONES [2830]

1880 Census gave the first name of Levi for this fellow. It also notes that he is single. The 1870 Census displays the name Taylor instead of Levi..

Research Notes: Child - Alonzo JONES [2829]

1880 Census indicated Alonzo was single.

Research Notes: Child - Squire David JONES [2833]

1870 Census gives the name Squire D Jones.
1880 Census gives the name as David Jones.

Notes from Robert McFarland:
After Malinda's death David married again at the age of 44 to a Belle Richards who was 37. This was 27 July 1914. David had diabetes and had no feeling in his feet. They once got burnt badly because he had no feeling in them, on a wood stove because of this. He would take his teeth out an put them on the porch rail and whistle at the girls that would walk bye. I can remember him trying to trip me with his cane when I was very small. About four years old. He is buried in Ross County, Ohio at Upper Twin Creek off route 50.

Research Notes: Child - William Theodore JONES [1767]

1880 Census mentions Theodore Jones.
